Preparation and effective thermal conductivity of a Paraffin/ Metal Foam composite

In this work, a paraffin- metal foam composite were prepared by the vacuum impregnation method. Aluminum and nickel foams used. The aim of study is to characterize thermal behavior these composites with view their use for management Li-ion batteries. First, conductivities diffusivities in solid state evaluated using Hot Disk Thermal Constants Analyzer (TPS 2500S) Transient Guarded Plate Technique (TGHPT) was used determine conductivity liquid state. Next, effective modeled as function structure foam, PCM. results show high impact minor pore size on conductivity.
